‘Into That Darkness’ is a tale inspired by Tim Burton’s gothic films. Sam’s idea centred on the tale of two lovers (Nicolaas van Reenen and Alex Glenday) who are brought together by a cheeky nymph (Caitlin Dobson). This romantic spread is shot at Cape Town’s famous Rhodes Memorial, set in the breast of Table Mountain. The one small seed TV team chatted to the models, make-up and hair stylist, Paulette Oliff, as well as Sam himself to get the inside scoop on how they executed the concept behind the shoot.
